Sara Ellen Ike, 67, of Grove City, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at home. She was born July 25, 1942, in Bluffton, Ohio. Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard "J.R." Ike and father, Nelson Wells. She was a longtime employee of the Heinzerling Foundation and member of LPNAO. Sara is survived by her sons, John R. Ike, Patrick B. (Ronda) Ike and David A. (Elizabeth) Ike; mother, Anna Nusbaum Wells; brothers, Robert M. (Deborah) Wells and Daniel B. (Mary Beth) Wells; grandchildren, Lane Ike, Brooklyn Ike and Fiona Ike. Friends may call Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 12:00-3:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City, with the prayer service beginning at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, December 4, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3730 Broadway Grove City. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Heinzerling Foundation or Mt. Carmel Hospice.
