Sarah Patricia Bendele

Sarah Patricia (Lane) Bendele entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the age of 89.The day of her beloved Ronnie's birthday. Sarah was born May 29, 1933 to the late Francis Xavier and Sarah Elizabeth (Thomas) Lane. For 63 years she was the loving spouse of Ronald Conrad Bendele.

Preceded in death by her husband Ron, brother Thomas Lane, son Bruce Patrick Bendele, daughter, Kay Ellen Bendele and granddaughter Leah Teresa Bendele.

Sarah is survived by her daughter in law Barbara (Bruce) Bendele Stafford, Virginia, son Richard (Sharon) Bendele, Grove City, Ohio, and daughter Rhonda (Tim) Dant, Lantana, Texas: along with 13 grandchildren, Anna (Zach), Rigby (TJ), Rodney, Michael, Francis (Mila), Jacob, Samuel, Michaela, Richelle, Virginia, Micah (Nathan), Christopher (Katie) and Jac (Brian), 5 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ezra, Natalee, Kendall, Richard and Remy.

Sarah was a 1951 graduate of Sacred Heart School of Business in Columbus, Ohio. She met the love of her life, Ronnie at a CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) dance at the age of 14. They married August 8, 1953. Through her long life Sarah worked for several companies in Columbus. Three of the most noteworthy were The John W. Galbreath Co., De-Signs of Wood for 15 years, which she co-owned, and Mount Carmel Hospital where she retired from working full time at the age of 82.

Sarah had a deep and abiding love for family & Jesus. Both were her greatest loves and biggest joys!

Visitation will be held May 2nd 4-8 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME SOUTHWEST CHAPEL, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123. Funeral service on May 3rd at 10:00am at Newcomer. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sarah's name to Lewy Body Dementia Association.
