Sarah Jane Samons (Kroah), 65, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 1, 2024. She was born on April 27, 1958 to the late Raymond and
Bessie Ellen Kroah in Bradford, Pennsylvania.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, RoseMarie, Mary Knight, Eugene Kroah, and Nadine Roach.
She is survived by her children, Angel (Brian) Johnston, Kim (Jim Ratcliff) Colts, Peggy (Josh Coleman) Samons, Brian (Alyssa) Skunza, and David Samons, her sisters, Nicki Sewell, Sherry Peterson, Regina Kroah, and Tina Price, her brother, Randy Kroah, her grandchildren, Anna, Brian, Brittany, Nic, James, Elizabeth, Aiden, Lilly, Gabe, Wyatt, Cooper, and her great-grandchildren, Cory, Rilee, James III, Brian III, Azaliah, Zariah, Joey, Violet, and Jessie, and many nieces and nephews.
After moving from her hometown, Sarah lived in Columbus for 46 years. She was a retired Columbus City School bus driver.
She was a devoted mother who had a zest for life. Not a stranger knew Sarah. She was always passionate, loving, caring, and fought for her children.
She enjoyed camping and all family activities where she spent time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will forever be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends may gather at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 12:00pm-2:00pm and 3:00pm-6:00pm for visiting hours. A funeral service will take place at 2:00pm, prior to the second calling hours.
