Sharon Chafin, 78, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
Sharon was born on November 23, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William Light and Mary Jane Smith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Chafin; sisters, Maribel (Barger) Hickey and Penny Seymour.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Cheri (Kenneth) Mollett and Michelle (Tim) DeVoe; grandchildren, Chelsea Mollett, Michael DeVoe, Elizabeth DeVoe; sister, Debbie (Jack) Beard, brother, Robert (Heidi) Light; special friend, Chuck Cowans; many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
Sharon loved to dance and bake cookies, especially at Christmas time. She proudly worked at YMCA for 25 years.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will follow immediately at 12:00pm also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
