Sharon Hinzey

Sharon G. Hinzey age 67, passed away on November 16, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 2, 1956 in Hampton, Virginia to her mother Katherine Moore. Sharon married Henry Hinzey on July 8, 1978 and together they built a beautiful life, including the birth of their son Adam.


Sharon worked many different careers in her life, starting with a tool and die company where she made friends that were more like family, and next worked for the local laborers union. Sharon then worked for AEP in the Human Resources department for 30 years before retiring. Finally she worked part time for Southwestern City Schools in the Head Start program. When Sharon wasn't working she could be found spending time with her family and friends who she loved more than anything. Sharon also filled her life with gardening, baking, hiking, biking, and traveling. Sharon was very proud of their son Adam and all his accomplishments.


Sharon was survived by her loving husband Henry of 45 years and son Adam. Sharon is preceded in death by her mother Katherine Moore.


A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
