Shawn M. Chapman

Shawn M. Chapman, 61, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 1st. Shawn was born on February 1, 1964, in Columbus, Ohio, to Anita Chapman and the late Harold Chapman.

A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Shawn will be remembered for his passion for the outdoors, love for his family and friends, and unwavering support of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Chicago Bears. An avid outdoorsman, Shawn enjoyed spending time with loved ones at his cabin in southeast Ohio. A lover of music, Shawn was an accomplished drummer and a member of a number of different bands in the Columbus community, including the Grove City Vineyard's worship band.

Shawn is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Katie, Christina, Amanda, Alisa, and Ryan; mother, Anita; sisters, Kelly Zapata (Cesar) and Erin; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful furry companion, Dexter. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold.

A celebration of life will be held at The Grove City Vineyard, located at 3005 Holt Rd in Grove City, on Tuesday, March 4th, at 2 p.m. The family wishes to invite all who knew and loved Shawn to join us in a celebration of his life and remembrance of his lifelong dedication to his family and friends.
