Shelby Tatman

Shelby Tatman, 88, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away January 27, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1935 to her parents Forrest and Mildred (White) Frazier.

Shelby was married to her husband Elmer Tatman on June 13, 1955, and together they created a beautiful life. Shelby was a long time employee of Kroger until she retired. You could find Shelby out in her garden and visiting with her neighbors. She loved to travel, especially to Tennessee to see the mountains. Shelby adored caring for and spending time with her family. Over the last few months Shelby found great joy and comfort in spending time with her great granddaughter Bella.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Tatman, her parents, son Tim Tatman, sisters Irene and Mona, and brother Dale. Surviving family includes her sons Jeff (Sylvia) Tatman and Greg (Carol) Tatman, grandchildren Carrie (Michael) Ball, Jason (Tina) Tatman, Ryan Sutherland, and Mikel Tatman, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, siblings Larry (Sue) Frazier and Donna (Bill) Bauman.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Elmer at Sunset Cemetery.
