Shelia C. Davis 52, of Delray Beach, Florida went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 25, 1959 to her loving parents James E. Davis and Verona L. (Smith) Dunlap.
Shelia is survived by her loving mother Verona L. Dunlap (Samuel) of Fort Lauderdale, Fl her son Aaron Mantle (Amanda) of Lake Worth, Fl, her daughter Vania Penta of Delray Beach Fl. She is also survived by her siblings: Sisters, Paula J. Davis, Jacqueline Davis and Tara Davis Duff (Scott), brothers James E. (Skip) Davis (Amanda), Vernon (Jeff) Davis, Jason (Tank) Davis all of Columbus, Oh and Step Brother Sheldon (Jamelia) Dunlap of Bedford, Texas.
Shelia leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 11 nieces, 8 nephews, 7 great nieces and 7 great nephews. She also leaves behind maternal Aunt Peggy Peterson (Eldon) of Palm Springs, Ca and paternal Uncles, Paul Eugene (Sarah) Davis of Columbus, Oh, and Richard Pettiford of Frankfort, OH, along with a host of cousins and friends.
Shelia is preceded in death by her infant son Vincent Penta Jr., her father James E Davis, Step mother Virginia M. Davis, grandparents Vernon and Jane Smith, Earl and Leona Pettiford, Orville ( Buck ) Davis and her long time companion Charles Evans.
The viewing will be on Wednesday June 20, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. The family will receive friends from 6 pm-8-pm.
The services will be held at The Potters House Church, 3220 Lowell Drive, Columbus, OH 43204, on Thursday June 21, 2012 at 3pm with Pastor Tim Oldfield officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society Central Region Office-FRAO, 5555 Frantz Rd. Dublin, OH 43017.
