Shirley A. Kost, 82, of Columbus, passed away on her birthday, August 6, surrounded by her loving family. Born to Douglas Williams and Alice Phillips in St. Louis, MO, Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Kost. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Love, Carol Sweazy, Sharon (Mike) Godwin, Mary (Jack) Ardrey and step daughter, Dorothy (Bobby) McDaniel; grandchildren, John (Bereit), Stephen and Andrew Love, Sandy (Dan) Keegan, Brian (Amy) Sweazy, Lyndsay and James Godwin, Angie (Greg) Jackson, Jason and Jenna Mayse, Amy Berger and Heidi McDaniel; great-grandchildren,John, Deirdre, Magnus, Ryan and Elena Love, Kahla Keegan, Lily and Lucy Godwin, Madison and Andrew Jackson and Nicole Berger; special members of the Corcoran Family. Shirley was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxilliary of the VFW. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008, 5-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH. A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2008,10:00 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, St Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Stree, Lockbourne, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen For The Cure or Mount Carmel Hospice. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerFamily.com.
