Shirley Ann de Leon, 70, of Galloway, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital. She was born April 13, 1939 in Maitland, WV. Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, father and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jack de Leon; sisters, Lucy and Edith; brother, A.C.; children, Jack Jr. (Vicki), Brian Dean (Ruby), Cindy Jo (Louis Smith Jr.) de Leon and Lisa Ann (Everette) Moore. Shirley retired in 1985 to devote herself to being a homemaker and proud and dedicated grandmother to five grandchildren, Adrianne, Megan, Jason, Nancy and Lucas; step grandmother, Everett Jr., Billie Jo, Joseph and Sandra; great grandchildren, Hayden and Lydia. She was a member of Little Vine Baptist Church in Welch, WV. Visitation will be Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Monday, January 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Galloway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Select Specialty Hospital or The American Lung Association.
