Shirley Mae Grant

Shirley M. Grant, age 74, was taken home to be with the Lord on Saturday June 26, 2021. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She served her community as a registered nurse for over 30 years and had worked her way up to being the Director of Oncology at Park Medical Center/OSU East Hospital. She was passionate about volunteering in her community, her family, reading, and football. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Suzie Johnson and her parents Herman and Bonnie Johnson. She is survived by her sons: Bryon (Martika) Wallington and James"Tigger" (Renée) Grant. Grandchildren: Kali, Kayla, Kadeem, Keeli and Kyan. Great Granddaughter: Kamiyah. Sisters: Gwendolyn, Marvalene, Cheryl, and Tonya, a stepmother and four stepsisters and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of life will be held at the NEWCOMER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 3047 EAST DUBLIN-GRANVILLE ROAD, Columbus, Ohio 43231 on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 1:00pm until time of celebration of life service at 2:00pm. Inurnment will be at Flint Cemetery in Worthington, Ohio.
