Shirley M. Hoffman, 84, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009 at her residence. She was born October 19, 1924, in Rochester, NY, daughter of the late William and Ruth Boone Brownell. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sister, Marion Heller. She is survived by her husband, Leo Hoffman; daughter, Deborah A. (Harold G.) Davis II; sons, Johnny A. Hoffman and Ricky L. (Terry) Hoffman; grandchildren, Ilia (John) Jordan, Athena Davis, Harold Gordon Davis III, Brian and Breanne Hoffman; great grandchildren, Jaron and Kyler Jordan. Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery.
Shirley was a kind, gentle woman that loved life and music. She will be deeply missed.
