Shirley L. McKinney, 74, Columbus, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born in Columbus, OH on February 25, 1939, to the late Herbert Resch and Marie (Geshwilm) Resch Milligan.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" McKinney; Children, Deborah (Ray) Young, Marty (Jay Dolan) McKinney, John McKinney, Janie (Doug) Vogt; brothers, Milton Resch and Ronald (Linda) Resch; grandchildren, Taylor "Gma's Everything" McKinney, Mario "The King" Dirienzo, Ashley, Brittani, Cameron, Devon and Evan Vogt; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Shirley worked for the Columbus Public School System for over 30 years. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family tremendously.
Shirley's family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8, 2013, 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service at 6:30 PM.
