Shirley Jean Russell

Shirley Jean Russell, 82, of Grove City- Sunrise November 9th, 1939 to Sunset April 22nd, 2023. After a long, valiant battle with cancer, Shirley passed peacefully at home. Shirley is survived by her Husband (65 years) Edward Russell Sr., her Brother Robert Clark (Grace), her Son Edward Russell Jr. (Mary), her Daughter Christina Eckelberry (Tony), her Granddaughters Erica Russell (Jason Cunningham), Amber Russell, Britteny Russell (Jason Duffey), Alexis Eckelberry (Justin King), her Grandson Shawn Eckelberry, her Great-Grandsons Hayden Spencer, Levi Spencer, Colton Eckelberry, James Good, her Great/Granddaughter Wren Cunningham, her Sister-in-Law Martha Liming (Dean), her lifelong friend Joyce Worthy and many others that cared and loved her. She was proceeded in death by her Mother Betty Widner, her Sister Charlotte Lynch (Tom), her Son Frederick Russell and her Great-Grandson Grayson King. The family would like to express their appreciation for the exemplary care and attention provided to Shirley by the Mount Carmel Hospice staff and, in particular, Pam, these past few months.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematorium, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley's honor to the charity of your choice.
