Shirley A. Spellman

Shirley Ann Spellman passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 14th, 2021. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on May 17, 1949 to Cecil and Betty McCollister. Shirley was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend.

She devoted her time and energy to her community and her family. She was an active member of the Grove City Noon Lions Club and the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce. She was an avid golfer and loved the beach. And she never missed a chance to watch her grandsons' sporting events. She was the vice president and marketing director at Heartland Bank for the last 17 years, where she loved to work. She laughed often and had a great sense of humor. She is remembered fondly by so many for her kindness and generosity.

She is preceded in death by her father, Cecil McCollister.

She is survived by her loving husband, Chuck Spellman; mother, Betty McCollister; daughters, Lisa Carrel and Kimber (Dominic Sanzo) Bandy; siblings, Vickie (Doug) Timmons and Jeffrey (Connie Dray) McCollister; grandsons, Kyle and Drew Carrel, Sam Bandy; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and several good friends. Family will invite friends to visit at the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and again on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm.

Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery.
