Shirley A Swigert

Shirley A Swigert, 80, died at 4:30pm April 12th, 2023 at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. She had been a patient there for 9 days. Shirley had been fighting Diabetes for several years and during the past few years had suffered many setbacks.

Born February 9th, 1943, Shirley is the daughter of the late Charles and Martha Honaker Blankenship of Tazewell County Virginia.

Shirley lived at the present address for the past 13 years, Shirley previously lived in Bloomingburg, Ohio for 50 years with her husband, Bill and the kids Mike, Pat, Tony. Shirley retired from London Industries in 2005.

In addition to her parents Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Charles (Bill) Swigert (1988); Sisters, Lois Willett, Jean Wilson, Barbara Petitt; brothers Donald Blankenship and James Blankenship; Daughters-in-law, Karen Swigert and Sheryl Swigert; Son, Charles (Mike) Swigert.

Survivors include Sons, William (Pat) Swigert, and Tony L Swigert; Son-in-Law, Michael Latoski; Daughter-in-law Debbie Swigert; Grandchildren, Kelly Swigert, Shawn Swigert, Rachel Swigert, Bobbie Sue (Swigert) Collins, Chad Swigert; Several great grandchildren, Niece-Angie (Blankenship) Graham and Nephew-Michael Blankenship.

Visitation Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 11am until the time of Funeral Service at 1pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Rev. Wallace Davis of Dayton to officiate. Interment to follow in the Bloomingburg Cemetery in Fayette County.
