Sondra J. Rieser, 70, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Sondra was born in Columbus, OH on May 30, 1939 to Paul S. and Virginia (Armstrong) Wolford and is preceded in death by her father; sister, Jo Ann Messersmith; former husband, Harold "Sonny" Shrider. Survivors include her mother, Virginia Wolford; daughters, Melissa (Larry) Rubenacker and Brigette (James) Cooper; sons, Roderick (Cherry) Huston, Shawn Rieser, Stephen (Tina) Rieser; brother, Randy Wolford; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Patrick Messersmith; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Sondra was an administrative assistant for Commercial Motor Freight, State of Arizona and worked for the Heinzerling Foundation. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin- Granville Road, Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice, 3593 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43214.
