It is with great sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of our friend Sonny E Lee of Columbus Ohio, Age 68. Following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer Sonny went to be with the Lord June 1, 2023
Sonny will be dearly missed by his best friend Ronnie Biegler, all his friends at Radico, Inc., and his friends at Southard. Worly and Eastway.
Sonny was a graduate of Washington Senior High, in Washington Court House Ohio. Sonny was a delivery driver for the food service industry for 20 years and then found his work family and retired at Radico, Inc after 23 years of driving and delivering material.
He was an avid Cincinnati Red's baseball fan and would look forward every year to opening day. He enjoyed weekend trips to the games with his friend Ronnie. Sonny loved not only watching basketball but playing basketball. You could find him on the basketball courts in his younger days playing pick-up with guys. He also had a passion for horse racing. Sonny rarely missed an opportunity to bet on the ponies.
Sonny was a friend to all and loved by everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life with be held at St. Sophia Orthodox Church, 1493 Indianola Ave. Columbus Ohio on June 22, 2023 at 5:00 pm.
A special note of thanks to the Kobacker House. Although his stay was brief, he was treated with such care and dignity and to Ronnie Biegler who took care of Sonny every step of the way.
