Sreenivasulu Miriyala, age 85, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by family, on April 18, 2024 in Blacklick, Ohio.
He was born in Anantapur district in Southern India. He is suvived by his wife Karuna, two sons- Venkat Kumar and Vinod, two daughters in law- Saritha and Kalpana, four grandkids- Sreekar, Varun, Maanasa, and Manvika, his youngest brother, three sisters and several loved ones.
He was the first engineer (mechanical) in his family. He started his career at Central Training Institute, then joined India Space Research Organization and later led commercial functions at Hindustan Cables Limited. One common trait through his professional career is his dedication to his job.
He was a pillar of support to his extended family. He was a teacher and mentor not just for his children but also for so many others who looked up to him for guidance.
He was very spiritual and was passionate about scriptures. After his retirement, he immersed himself in learning yoga. He was an advanced yoga practitioner and trained yoga teachers through Bharatiya Yog Sansthan. He enjoyed sharing his learnings with others.
He fought the odds against his advanced cancer diagnosis with grace and dignity before returning to his heavenly abode. He will always be remembered for his jovial smile, booming voice and religious spirit.
