Stella M. Young, 92, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was born in Louisa, Kentucky November 6, 1931.
Stella loved the Lord and served him faithfully for 59 years as a pastor's wife at Burr Oak Baptist Church of Mt. Sterling, Ohio and Briggs Rd Baptist Church of Columbus, Ohio. Above all, she loved Jesus and her family. However her love of 500 rummy, Cracker Barrel, Billy's cornbread and her garden were not far behind.
Preceded in death by her spouse of 49 years, Rev. James C. Young, her son Timothy Ray Young, 6 brothers, 2 sisters, and 2 grandchildren.
Survived by Patricia S. Rose of Grove City, James Young Jr. (Diane) of Charlotte North Carolina, William E. Young of Grove City, son-in-law Allan Rose of Grove City, daughter-in-law Brenda Young of Galloway, Grandchild Michelle M Grcic (Don) of Grove city, great grandchildren Lauryn M. Grcic of Vancouver Canada, Andrew R. Grcic of Columbus, Special niece Robin L. Hemming of Jackson, Ohio, and numerous friends.
Family will receive friends at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City Ohio, 43123 on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 10 am until time of service at 12 pm. Rev. John Meade will be officiating. Stella will be laid to rest beside her husband at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
