Stephanie Swartz

Stephanie Sybil Swartz, age 73 of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Friday March 24th , 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Stephanie was born April 21st , 1949 to Frank B. & Ilene Noblick. She was married to Daniel E. Swartz for 17 years. Stephanie, better known as Grandma Porky will be deeply missed by her siblings, Judith Morgan, Darren "Casey" Noblick (Evelyn), Douglas Noblick (Marsha), Laurence "Tony" Noblick (Terri), her daughters, Dawn Weimer (Robert), Danette Noll, and Deborah Barnhart (Michael), many nieces and nephews and her grandchildren, Daniel, Melanie, Brittany "Porky", Emily, Angela, Kassandra, Brittany S., Nathan, Brooke, Hannah, Timothy and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother Howard McNamee, son Daniel E. Swartz Jr., and life partner John West. Stephanie spent many years as a cook for Columbus Public Schools at Sullivant Garden Elementary school, continued on to Columbus Public School lunch production facility and ended her career in food service at Wedgewood Middle School. After leaving Columbus Public Schools she went on to work for Discover Financial Services. Those that knew her knew just how big her heart was. Her arms were always open to anyone that needed an embrace. As a mother she worked hard to provide for her children but made sure to be involved with her kids' school activities. She was close knit with her fellow room mothers and to this day they all remained close. As her family grew she was always present for each grandchild and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and loved ones at Newcomer in Grove City, Ohio on Friday March 31 from 5-7pm with a memorial service to follow. Flowers may be sent to 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio.
