Steven M. "Shades" Watrous, age 55, of Groveport, passed away March 16, 2013. He was born April 9, 1957 in Columbus, OH.
Steven was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Ruth Ortman.
He is survived by parents, Patricia (Bob) Jones and Robert (Carol) Watrous; brothers, Ron (Jeanne), Bob (Kathy) and David Watrous; sisters, Kathy (Willie) Pyers and Julie (Michael) Boatwright; several nieces, nephews, friends and good friend, Rusty Gorsuch.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 PM till the time of service at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr., Columbus, OH 43231 or Chalmers P. Wylie Hospital, 420 N. James Rd., Columbus, OH 43215.
