Steven J. Smith, 40, of Garland,TX formerly of Columbus, OH, entered the land of our Jesus Christ, December 3, 2006 in Dallas, TX of a massive coronary. Steve was born September 26, 1966 into the union of Larry J. and Constance (Connie) (Slavens) Smith. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Larry J. Smith; grandfather, Roy J. Smith; maternal grandparents, Homer E. and Pearl Slavens. He leaves behind his beloved and caring wife, Angela of Dallas; children, Stephanie of Dallas, Tyler, Alyssah and Haleigh Munson, Ryan J. Smith all of Columbus; step-children, Blake, Eryn and Kasie Mason also of Dallas; beloved and grieving mother, Connie Smith-Kyle; sisters, Cher (Mike) Curnutte, Jamie Hicks of Columbus; grandmother, Alberta Smith; nephews, Justin, Darrin and Steven also of Columbus; children's mother and friend, Karren Munson, aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to name. Steve will always be remembered as an avid sports paticipant, high school football player, one time golden glove champ, left handed baseball pitcher, a skilled electrician and home builder. Steve was a very handsome and strong man with a very out going personality and was truly adored. He so loved his wife, children and family. He will be forever missed by all who loved him. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Friday, December 8, 2006 at the funeral home.
