Stroder Leon Roberts

Stroder Leon Roberts, 58, departed this life unexpectedly at Grant Medical Center on Friday, May 28, 2004. Born June 17, 1945 in Lawrence County, KY, he was a graduate of Louisa High School, and a former employee of Burton Metal Finishing in Columbus. A gentle, loving, hard-working, devoted father, he leaves behind two adoring children, Rebecca Rene, and Tyler Leon; sisters, Willa Jean Carter, Dorothy Chaffin, and Virginia Jenks, Louisa, KY; Emily (John) Cain, Columbus, OH; brothers, Jack (Helen), Carroll, OH; Paul (Merle), and Elwood (Mary Ann), Columbus, OH; Bob and Billy (Nan), Louisa, KY; and Charles (Nadene), Jacksonville, FL; special friend and grandma of his children, Betty Webb; special friends, Jonathan and Julie Webb, and Betty Lopez; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Cleora Moore Roberts; two brothers, Johnny Lee and Joseph; a sister-in-law, Gerri; and two brothers-in-law, Lindsay Chaffin, and Tommy Jenks. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-6 PM at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus. Funeral service will be at 6 PM, Rev. James Akers officiating. Visitation in Kentucky will be Thursday from 12-1:30 PM at Young Funeral Home, 201 West Main St., Louisa, KY. Funeral service will be at 1:30 PM at the funeral home, Rev. Rick Frazier officiating. Interment in Yatesville Memorial Gardens.
