Sue Ann Savage

Savage, Sue Ann (Sexton), age 70, born April 10, 1940 in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Lucy (Hill) Sexton-Blake and William Oral Sexton. Sue moved to Columbus as a child and remained there until her passing on February 11, 2011. She passed away into the hands of God after a long and courageous battle with emphysema. She was retired from A & P Bakery and Johnson's Catering. She is preceded in death by her fiancé Vencil Junior Evans; three brothers, Kenneth, Billy and Nathanial Sexton; one sister, Bonnie (Sexton) McCormick-Blake, and great-grandson Eric Wade Freeman, II. She is survived by five children, William (Diana) Miller, Johnny (Judy) Miller, Karen (Dave) Gregory, Darlene (Chuck) Justus, and Charlene (Tom) Curtis; two sisters, Ella Chaffin (Ralph Humphrey) and Joyce (Carl) Stroud; one brother, Larry (Pam) Sexton; and two sister-in-laws, Cindy Sexton and Carol Sexton; twelve grandchildren, Amanda (Sean) Hand, Felicia (Eric) Freeman, Matt Cummins, Shawna (Shawn) Hood, David (Rachel) Gregory, Matthew (Cassandra) Gregory, Tony (Lindsey) Miller, Seth Curtis, Eddie (Chris) Musick, Joseph Fletcher, Charles (Laurie) Justus III, Janet Justus; fourteen great-grandchildren, Samuel and Headen Freeman, Kaitlyn and Sean Hand, Hailey and Shawn Hood, Ella and Ryland Gregory, Joseph Donaldson, Charles Justus IV, Bryce and Gordon Caruthers, Alaina and Owen Miller; and many other family and friends. The family wishes to thank Rick (Lora) Sexton for their generosity and support during this time of need. Visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Monday, February 14, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial at Sunset Cemetery.
