Sue Jeffers, of Columbus, passed away Monday, March 28, 2011, after an extended illness. Sue was born in Lexington, KY on October 20, 1934, to Lonnie and Jettie (Watson) Pope and is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Naoma Mayo and brother, George Pope. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Glenn P. Jeffers; daughters, Barbara Howard, Carol (Josh) Gold, Lisa (Larry) Snyder; son, John (Teresa) Forman; brothers, Dewey (Leona) Pope and Robert (Phyllis) Pope; grandchildren, Christiania, Shannon, Melanie, Alexandra, Amy; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Sue worked for TRW Globe Industries for over 25 years and Dayton Supply and Tool until retirement. Sue and Glenn raised and raced thoroughbred horses together for many years. Sue's greatest enjoyment was working in her beautiful yard and flower garden. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service on Saturday, April 2, 2011, 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, OH.
