Susan Maxey, 67, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Westerville, Ohio. Susan was born on June 16, 1956 to Willard and Nancy Maxey.
Susan was very active in her Church, Upper Arlington community and politics. She was a lover of books, travel, genealogy, and knowledge.
Susan is preceded in death by her Father Willard Maxey.
She is survived by her Mother Nancy Maxey, Siblings; Bruce (Janet) Maxey and Cynthia Maxey, Daughters; Heather (Jeff) Bernard, Jana (Colin) Thomspon, Renee (Jeff) Stocker, Grandchildren; Matthew Landefeld, Dominick (Toria) Landefeld, Reese (Will) Burke, Joseph Bernard, Beau Burke, Andrew Bernard, Samantha Bernard, Joshua Bernard, Natalie Bernard, Leo Bernard, Great-grandchildren; Eira and Damion Landefeld, and long time friend, Christie Dougal.
A Celebration of Susan's life will be held on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 4pm in the afternoon at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Rd., Westerville, OH 43081 in the Sanctuary. Family will receive friends and guests in Ballard Hall immediately following the Celebration.
Susan was a big supporter of the Autism community and those with special needs. The SPICE Program is a learning community organization focused on inclusion and addressing the variety of unique student learning needs.
