Sylvan L. Fisher, 79, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Sylvan was born in Columbus, OH on July 8, 1931, to Sylvan A. and Mildred (Hobbs) Fisher and is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donnalee Jacob; brother, Melvin Fisher. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Delphia (Duewell) Fisher; son, Lewis Paul (Kathy) Fisher; sister, Joyce (Alexander "Ping") Losego; grandson, Brandon Paul Fisher; nieces, nephews and extended family members. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011, 5-7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH.
