Sylvia W. Surrett, age 87, passed away peacefully, August 8, 2021.
Sylvia was born March 21, 1934, in Belington, West Virginia, to the late Festus and Anna Rosier Waggoner.
Sylvia was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, his word in the Bible, her family, and nature. Sylvia studied Christian Education at Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, West Virginia, and graduated from Otterbein College with an Associate of Science in Nursing degree.
Sylvia will be deeply missed by her daughters Sandy (Mick) Box (KY), Sarah (Tom) McMillen (Westerville), grandchildren Natalie (Luke) Leffingwell (KY), Brendan Box (Scotland), Jon (Bridget) McMillen, Joyce McMillen, Andrew (Rachel) McMillen, great grandchildren Sylvia Leffingwell (KY), Briana, Brock, Brayden McMillen, Lillian McMillen (all of Westerville), sister Sandy (Mel) Hussey (NY), and many nieces and nephews.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Tom, and sisters, Eileen, Elenor, Mary, Margie, brother, Paul.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43231. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 10:00 am, at the Newcomer NE Chapel. Pastor Danny Lambert will officiate. Interment will take place at Blendon Central Cemetery.
