Obituary written by Thelma E. Williams with the blanks filled in by Son ( Sherman W. Astrop Jr. & Daughter in law) Sue Astrop.
Thelma E. Williams was born November 7th, 1920 to the late Elizabeth and Eddie Harvin in Canton, Ohio.
She was oldest of 4 children. Preceded in death by; one sister, Lilly Mae; two brothers, Willie and Jimmy Harvin.
Thelma departed this life December 3, 2021 at the age of 101 years old.
In 1937 she married Sherman W. Astrop Sr., and to that marriage a son was born; Sherman W. Astrop Jr.
Later years she married the late Jack Williams.
She was a faithful member of the Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio.
She belonged to the Missionary Circle #1 and the Northwest Senior Citizens Club.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Family and Friends.
"Don't spend to much time mourning, tears are for those who are sad, I left to be with Jesus and that should make you glad. Don't lose the love I gave you, feed it with care. Let it grow with devotions and spread everywhere."
ACCORDING TO HER WISHES; Thelma will be cremated at Newcomer's Funeral Home and taken to Homewood Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA. where she will be buried with her Mother as stated in her wishes, August 2020.
Sherman and I want to thank the management and staff at the The Woodlands Nursing Home, Promedica Hospice of Central Ohio for the wonderful care and support they gave. A special thanks also to Marty Foster, Lois Mintor, Mildred Shepard, Ted Lynn all of Dayton, Ohio, for all the prayers and support and to all my many Christian friends all over the world for prayers and so much caring through Thelma's illness.
