Theodore "Ted" G. Fields, 66, quietly passed away at his residence on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio.
Theodore was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 25, 1956 to the late Grover C. and Joan (Byrd) Fields of Columbus, Ohio. He is also preceded in death by his brother Dennis C. Fields and many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by Brother, Grover C. Fields III of Escondido, CA, Sister, Valita Fields, Niece, Joran (Texas) Wilkins-Fields, Great-Niece, Alayziah L. Wilkins and Nephew, Justin T. Swain all of Columbus, OH. Nephew, Martin R. Fields II, Great-Nieces Jasmine J. Fields and Zoey N. Fields of Plainfield, IN. Nieces, Felicia J. Fields, Kimberly D. Fields and Great-Niece Jazmine A. Yarborough-Fields, all of Hampton, VA.
Ted was a graduate of Columbus West High School in 1976. He also participated in the local Special Olympics, where he won medals in Swimming, Track & Field and Wrestling. He loved to assemble model cars and was especially fond of the Star Wars Franchise, Elton John and The Beatles.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. He will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery.
