Thomas R. Arnold, 82, of Grove City, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 14, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. Born to Irvin and Mabel (Rhoads) Arnold on August 27, 1925, in Columbus, Tom is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Donna M. (Thompson) Arnold; geat-grandson, Noah Kisner; brothers, Robert and James Arnold. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Jean (Mossman) Arnold; daughters, Barb Markham, Celeste (Michael) Davey, Angela (Tony) Ownes, Chris (Dick) Phillips, Catherine "Cat" (Kevin) Meece; sons, Steven Arnold and Joseph Applegate; grandchildren, John, Thomas, Khristy, Kathy, Aaron, Austin, Tony, Allie, Kyle, Katelyn, Cameron, Sarah Beth; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Tom was retired from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 189, was a lifetime member of Northway VFW Post 495., and was a member of Holy Family Church. He served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 2-4PM & 6-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. with the funeral service on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
