Thomas H. "Tom" Detunno Sr., 77, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at St. Ann's Hospital.
He was born August 21, 1936 in Columbus, son of the late Harry and Mary Labora Detunno.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Satima Murando.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Detunno; daughter, Tonya Lynn Detunno; son, Thomas H. Detunno Jr.; grandchildren, Angelo Hertlein Detunno, Adam Glenn Detunno and Tommy Detunno III; niece, Tina Marie Murando; nephew, Anthony (Kay) Murando; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Lee) Salyer.
Visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice C/O Mt Carmel Foundation 6150 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213.
Inurnment will be in Blendon Central Cemetery at a later date.
Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a diehard Browns fan that will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
He was born August 21, 1936 in Columbus, son of the late Harry and Mary Labora Detunno.
