Thomas Alan Doss, 63, Grove City, Ohio, passed away suddenly Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 3 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Medical Center Grove City of cardiac arrest.
Thomas was born to Barbara and Donald C. Doss on January 7, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. Doss is survived by his son, Christopher Doss, Grove City; sister Barbie Doss, Columbus; brothers Kenneth Doss, Grove City; Corbett Doss, Columbus; and Morris Doss, Denver, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 35 years, Dianne Longsworth Doss.
Before his illness and subsequent retirement, Tom was employed by Mt. Carmel West Hospital in the Maintenance Department. He had many happy memories of his time there, his co-workers, and hospital staff.
Tom graduated from Franklin Heights High School in 1977.
His memberships and activities included Grove City Masonic Lodge #689 Free and Accepted Masons, West Gate Chapter #216, Willis Commandery #82 Knights Templar of Ohio, Grove City Order of the Eastern Star #502, and holder of the Knights of the York Cross of Honor.
Visitation Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021 from 11am until the time of Funeral Service at 1pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Masonic Service will be conducted at 12:30pm.
Burial will take place following the funeral at Concord Cemetery. Tom will be laid to rest next to his wife Dianne.
