Thomas E. Freed, 63, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at his residence. He was born July 30, 1944, in Ironton, son of the late Robert and Ima June Ferrell Freed. In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Freed. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Thomas retired from the Kroger Bakery in 2001 and was also a member of the Elks Lodge (North Lodge 2700) where he had many close friends. Thomas loved bowling, horseshoes, pool and being with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Sandy Freed; sons, Thomas (Cathy), Johnnie and Raymond (Tonya) Boyles; daughters, Veronica (Jimmie) Holbrook and Sharon Boyles; brother, Glenn (Marianne) Freed; sisters, Donna "Penny" Pariseau and Mary (Larry) Mustard; twelve grandchildren; Tori, Alexis & Tyler Farrell, Allison & Nichole Manning, Haylie & Kaitlyn Boyles, Jake & Cherokee Boyles, Noah Boyles and Shavonna & Frankie Johnson. Father and mother-in-law, James (Viola) Freed; brothers-in-law, Eugene Ervin and Billy Freed; sisters-in-law, Carol (Bill) Martin and Mary Maynard and special friend Henry. Visitation will be Friday, November 16, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Northlawn Memory Gardens.
