Thomas Ried Hesse

Born February 15, 1952 in Fairborn, Ohio, Tom departed this life on Sunday, April 2, 2023 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Tom was a 1970 graduate of Whetstone High School in Columbus, Ohio. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Capital University and his Master's Degree from Ashland University.
He was a compassionate and dedicated mathematics teacher, and after 40 years of teaching, he retired in 2017 from Olentangy High School in Lewis Center. OH
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Frank Hesse, and sister, Elizabeth Anne McGlothlin.
Tom leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years, Julie Tkach Hesse of Worthington, OH; daughters, Anastasia (Michael) Hazlett of Galena, OH and Stefany Hesse (John DiFrancesco) of Delaware, OH; and precious grandchildren, Bellina, Brantley, Brighton and Basilio Hazlett, Katya Timson and Sofya DiFrancesco.
A private family funeral will take place at Holy Cross Orthodox Church in Worthington, OH, followed by interment at the Garden of the Holy Myrrhbearers section of Holy Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center, OH.
