Answering life's final summons, Thomas N. Cox, 70, of Westerville, OH passed away peacefully August 6, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. The son of Mary Christlean Taylor Onion and the late Thomas N. Cox, Sr., he was born September 28, 1938, in Beckley, West Virginia. Tom was a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Air Force, he was employed by Boeing, FAA and retired from General Motors. He enjoyed fishing and friends and family. In addition to his mother, he is survived by is wife, Agnes Tulk Cox; son, Gregory M. Cox; sister, Gwendolyn Dianne Ridgley and husband, Rev. Louis E. Ridgley, Jr; two step-daughters, Bree Tara Blakely and husband, Arnold J. Olsen, Jihan Marie Thomas and husband, Chad Thomas; grandchildren, Dalton Cox and Loren Marie Thomas; many other relatives and friends. In fulfillment of Thomas' wishes, arrangements are private and have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. In lieu of floral contributions, the family requests that donations of blood be made to the American Red Cross, or monetary contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
