He was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 16, 1954 to the late Raymond and Evelyn (Wilkinson) New.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Louise Skellie.
Surviving family includes loving wife of 47 years, Patricia; son, Thomas (Nicole); granddaughter, Anise; siblings, Raymond Jr., Jim, Sher (Rick) Fairall, Karen (Joel) Gent; nieces and nephews, Mark, Angie (Tommy), Roger, Becky, Chris, Ricky, Joel Jr., Jason; as well as many loving close friends and extended family.
