Thurman "Jay" Collier, 62, passed away June 9, 2010 at his home. Born August 20, 1947 in Waverly, OH to Thurman L. and Evelyn (Jordan) Collier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Una Mae Collier; son, Jeffrey J. Collier and sister, Faye Bartley. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Collier; his daughters, Lisa (Rob) Ford, Tammy (John) Swartz and Carol (Dave) Bush; his son, Jason Collins; Mary's children, Heather, Shelly, Jamie and Ricky Seymour; sister, Barb (Jacob) Terry; brothers, Norman and Timmy Collier; seventeen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Jay was a great love of music and enjoyed singing and playing guitar with many people. Visitation Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 5-8 PM and Wednesday June 16, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH. Funeral Service Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Ralph Frazier officiating. Interment to follow at Asbury Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
