Timothy "Tim" Groth

Timothy “Tim” Groth, age 60, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Saturday June 1, 2024.

Tim was born June 5, 1963 in Chicago Illinois. Tim attended South High School and worked in Waste management including Superior, Rumpke and Republic Waste for a combined total of 30 years.

Tim was funny, and always loved to make people smile and laugh, he especially enjoyed making bird noises to make us smile. Tim loved going to car shows, or car lots just to look at the cars. He loved all Jeeps and owned a few over the years.

Tim also could be found listening to music - of course turned all the way up - singing along and with his ”special dance moves”, the band Journey was his favorite.

Tim will be deeply missed by Mitzi Rust, daughter Heidi Durbin (Jason), son Steven Groth and son Chase Emmond, his two grandsons Ryan and Wesley and his sisters Lisa Hughes and Tena Groth, close friend Bink, along with numerous nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Tim is preceded in death by his mother Eva Dangerfield, brother Joey Groth and best friends Dave Hughes and Bo Clark.

Visitation will be Monday June 17, 2024 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm with funeral services at 6:30pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus Ohio.
