Tina M. Richards (Sowers), 58, of Columbus, OH passed away on January 5th, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving husband, family and fur babies.
Tina M. Richards (Sowers) was born in Circleville, OH to Clifford and Emma Sowers on June 14th, 1962. She attended school in Circleville, OH and furthered her education in Columbus, OH. She married Michael L. Richards on March 30th, 1985 in Columbus, OH. She worked as an Account Manager for Discover Card for 20 years and with Green Lawn Cemetery for nine years.
Tina M. Richards (Sowers) is preceded in death by her Parents (Clifford and Emma Sowers).
She is survived by her loving Husband Michael; Daughter Emilee (Lloyd) Hanson, Son Jonathon Richards, Daughter Carmella Richards, Daughter Michelle Miller and Son Dustin (Heather) Richards; Brother Bryan (Kim) Sowers and Brother Dennis "DJ" (Erica) Sowers; Grandchildren Lexi Hanson, Brittany Hanson, Ashten Richards, Kayla Richards, Gabe Clossin, Rennie Clossin, Lily Richards, Ryan Richards and Matthew Richards; Great-Grandchild Skye Richards.
She had the ability to light up a room and enrich those lives around her. Tina is known for her laugh and voice that we will cherish and miss. Every year Tina looked forward to the Pumpkin Show and Backwoods Fest that she attended with close family and friends. She found her strength and worship through her family at Cypress Church. She loved all animals and fought dearly to save as many as she could.
She was diagnosed with cancer in October, 2019. She accepted the challenge as Tina would with any challenge, she's faced in her life; full of grace, determination and positive attitude. She never gave up on the power of prayer to fight this disease.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to be made in Tina M. Richards honor to a pet rescue (ex. Hospets "www.hospets.org"; Pickaway County Dog Shelter)
Visitation will be 4p-8p on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021 and 10a-12p on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 at Newcomer in Grove City, OH.
Funeral services will be held at 12p on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with Pastor Dale George of Cypress Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery, Amanda, OH.
Masks are required for attendance.
