Tracy Michelle June passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, at her home in Grove City, Ohio surrounded by her family after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend who was endlessly creative and artistic. Tracy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jeffrey, children Arabella, MaKenna and Carson. Her parents Edward and Sarah Gill, in-laws James Sr. and Pamela June. Sister Laurie (Scott) Navarro, brother-in-law James II (Kim) June, and sister-in-law Catherine June. Including many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was born on August 2, 1970, in Spartanburg, South Carolina and grew up in Pensacola Florida. Tracy attended Auburn University graduating with a BS in architecture. Furthering her education and experience, she received a MS in Information Systems from Phoenix University. As a Project Architect she spent her career assisting in the designing and building of several apartment complexes in Hilliard and the University of Kentucky, numerous school projects for Dublin City Schools, wrote and aided the adherence to the design guidelines and designing homes for Jerome Village. Ending her career working for the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission helping school systems around the state design and construct new buildings for a great number of school systems throughout Ohio. An honest believer that education was the doorway to the betterment of society.
She was never happier than when she was surrounded by family and working on projects with her husband Jeffrey. Together they created such projects as an outdoor living space, remodeling the interior of the home, and most importantly to her, The Tipsy Turtle, their unique version of an authentic Scottish pub where no single detail was overlooked. Their ability to work together on projects large and small defined their collaborative, loving relationship. Her greatest hobbies were scrapbooking and genealogy. Tracy loved Auburn, Auburn Football, and took great joy in hosting family parties. At Christmas, her most favorite time of year, she would turn her artistic eye and talents to transforming their home into a magical wonderland for the holidays. As family was most important to her, she was always happiest in doing anything that would bring them all together to bring smiles to their hearts and faces.
Funeral arrangements are being made through Newcomer of Grove City. There will be a visitation on February 25, 2022 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 766 South High Street, Columbus, OH 43206 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The worship service will follow at 1 PM.
The world will be duller without her bright smile and giving heart. As per Tracy's wish, in lieu of flowers, she would prefer donations via Zelle to RememberTracyMJune@gmail.com for her children's education. Her statement was, "I would rather have the money do something that will reap rewards into the future than have something pretty for a fleeting few days." She was, as always, thinking about someone other than herself.
