Our beloved dad Tulsi Shankar was born in Tshirang Bhutan in the year 1957 on January 1st to Tila Chan Shankar and Lt. Run Maya Shankar (Gazmer)
He moved to Nepal in refugee camp in the year 1992 with his small kids, his parents, and his siblings.
He lived with his family in the refugee camp for 21 years and moved to Columbus in 2013 in the month of April. He lived as a responsible citizen of this great nation and has been an inspiration to so many of us. He was a prayer warrior. He would spend hours in prayer every day.
He accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and savior in June 2013.
But sadly, in the afternoon of March 14th, 2023 (Tuesday) he had a massive heart attack while he was still at his home. 911 was called and was immediately taken to the Mt. Carmel Hospital here in Columbus Ohio. Next day, March 15, 2023, at 6:16 PM he peacefully made his way to his loving Lord, Jesus Christ. He lived for 66 years 2 months 15 days.
He left behind his loving wife Chandra Shankar, sons Raj Shankar and Bikash Shankar and his Grand Kids: Angel Shankar (G. Daughter), Anson Shankar (G. Son), Aniee Shankar (G. Daughter), Avianna Shankar (G. Daughter), and Siblings: Brothers Tek Shankar, Bala Shanakr and Ganga Shankar Sisters: Sahara Baraily, Pabitra Luwar, Lila Ramdam, Rebika Biswa, and Padma Diyali.
Visitations will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 and Sunday, March 19th, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm both at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast - 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus - OH 43231. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 20th, 2023 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Powell - 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell Ohio - 43065. Burial will take place in procession to Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville, Ohio 43081.
