On Thursday, September 10, 2015 The Lord called Usha home to rest in his loving arms, after a long and courageous battle with Lupus and Kidney failure.
Usha F. Dillard was born August 18, 1975 in Columbus, OH. She graduated from Walnut Ridge High School and received her associate degrees from Kaplan University and Miami-Jacobs College.
She held several positions with The American Red Cross, Columbia Gas and Franklin County Human Resources.
In 2007 Usha founded Lady Perseverance to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation.
She raised thousands of dollars over the years for this cause that she was very passionate about.
Even when sick and tired she still carried on raising money and participating annually in the Kidney Walk.
She definitely was a lady that persevered.
Usha never let the struggles of her illness get her down she was always fashionable, vibrant and a ray of sunshine.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Louise Dillard Sr. and Sam and Elease Spencer; great grandparents, John and Nora King and Janie Dillard; aunt, Mary Morris; cousins, Tyree Morris and William Dillard.
Usha leaves to forever cherish her memory her parents Robert and Nora Dillard Jr; daughter Shawnae Dillard; brothers, John and Charles Dillard; sister, Maia Dillard; nieces and nephews, Mikkita Dixon, Dominique Gilliam, Kaia Dillard-Mixon, Shia Dillard-Mixon, Morgan Hall, Ty Dillard-Mixon and Bonita Peeks; best friends, Kia Watkins, Hope Coles and Stacy Hall. Aunts, Uncles, cousins and a host of close friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 9:00-10:00 AM at Southfield Community Baptist Church, 1399 Augmont Ave. Columbus, OH 43207, with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be in Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
