Van Yav

Van Yav, age 89, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio. She preceded in death by her husband and two sons. She was born in Cambodia on May 3, 1934, and immigrated to the United States with her family in 1981. She was a devoted wife and mother who lived alongside her daughter Sokha (Bill) Wisner; sons Sokhan (Viviane), Sambo (Maggie), Sambath (Sarom), and Chamroeun (Jennifer) Prak; and grandchildren, Caroline, Adeline, Lisa, Matthew, Matthew, Brandon, John, Danina, Brandon, Khanneth, Khonnor, and Mia, including many other great-grandchildren and extended family members. She enjoyed her time with her family while she danced, played cards, and watched movies. She worked hard to support her family, including owning and operating a donut shop. Van Yav was known for her kindness and has helped many people throughout her life. The family extends a special thank you to the Hospice nurses and staff that partake in her care. Family and friends are invited to remember Van Yav at a service on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Newcomer - Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
