Vinupriya "Priya" Mariyanayagam

In loving memory of Vinupriya Benjamin Josephine Mariyanayagam, fondly called as Priya, a young beacon of love and kindness, who passed away on July 25, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born to Benjamin and Velankanni Mariyanayagam on March 19, 1980.

Priya was born in Madurai, Tamilnadu, India, where she grew up alongside her younger brother Tony and her puppy Benny. Her childhood was marked by her exceptional talents and wonderful passions including Bharatanatyam and field hockey, excelling and earning recognition in both. She was also deeply devoted to painting and drawing, showcasing her unique and colorful personality.

After graduating from high school, Priya pursued her passion for business and technology at Madurai Kamaraj University earning a Master's degree in Information and Technology, a bachelor's degree in Commerce, and a post-graduate degree in Computer Applications. She then went on to pursue a career in software development where she met her loving partner Ramkrishna Thevendhriya. 

Priya and Ram dedicated their heart to raising their two children, Rishi and Shruthi Thevendhriya, teaching them meaningful values of love and kindness and nurturing their talents. Priya was a pillar of support, love, and encouragement, and took great pride in their achievements and growth.

She dedicated herself to providing her family with a better life, working tirelessly. Her kind heart and beautiful soul bore a strong will. Her dedication, perseverance, and unyielding love for her family were an inspiration to all and were cherished by her friends and family. Her kind smile and infectious laughter connected the lives of many. She will be remembered by all for her bright character and beautiful values.
