Viola Roosa, 91, of Grove City, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at her residence. She was born June 17, 1918, in White Oak, daughter of the late Edward and Sara Swank Bowshier. In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Wes Roosa; grandson, Michael Scully; great great granddaughter, Shawna Beachman; one brother and three sisters. She worked for Dickerson Shoe Factory, Paper Company on Wale Ave., and Phillips Coney Island. Viola is survived by her daughters, Ruth Ann Potter and Mary Frances (Terry) Brown; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and son-in-law, Charles Scully. Visitation will be Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Monday, August 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
