Violet Carpenter, 88, of Westerville, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 2, 1925 in Bolair, West Virginia to the late Thomas and Laura Villers.
Violet was a wonderful cook who was known for some of her favorite dishes including biscuits, liver and onions and many other family favorites. She enjoyed crocheting and reading her bible. Violet spent time listening and supporting Pastor Frank Carl and Dr. Jack Van Impe ministries.
She loved her Church and family and was very active with both. Violet will be greatly missed as a spiritual influence in both her family and church. She was a great example to everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Carpenter; daughter, Laura D. Glena; grandson, David Carpenter; sisters, Ellen, Goldie "Toots", Geraldine; brothers, Abe, Pete, John, Glenn.
Survived by children, Deltah (Paul) Kleinhans, Paula (Richard) Cook, Jake Carpenter; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.
Friends may call from 12 noon Monday, February 11, 2013 at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Rd., Westerville, Ohio 43082 where funeral services will begin at 1 PM Monday.
Violet's grandson, Pastor Kevin Carpenter will be officiating the service. Burial in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.
