Virgil A. Carlyle, 78, of Galloway, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Mt. Carmel West. He was born December 14, 1930, in Union, OH, son of the late John William and Iona Hazel Weekley Carlyle. In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Marie Gordon Carlyle and sisters, Jeannette Carlyle and Doris LaChappelle. He retired from Ohio Bell with 33 years of service and was also a member of the Moose. Virgil is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Bradley) Thomas of Galloway, Debra (Robert) Youtz of Pickerington, Denise (Michael) Mote of Martinsville, IN and Karen (Eric) Carlsen of Galloway; brothers, Wayne (Joyce) Carlyle and Donald (Janet) Carlyle; sister, Louise Gurney; grandchildren, Dana and Shelby Youtz, Travis and Emily Mote, Jackson Skinner, Maxwell and Nicole Meade. Visitation will be Monday, March 30, 2009 from 5:30-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Sunset Mausoleum.
