Lemley, Virgil W., age 85, born March 26, 1927 in Lawrence County, OH. Passed peacefully at home with his family at his side on August 21, 2012.
He was preceded in death by parents, Charles A. and Effie P. (Fuller) Lemley in addition to 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Virgil is survived by loving wife of 50 years, Arlene M. (Mullins) Lemley as well as one sister, Alma (Lemley) Smith of West Virginia and sister-in-law, Carolyn Mullins. Virgil is also survived by children, Diana (Chuck) Rodgers, Chris (Debbie) Lemley, Brian (Deanna) Lemley, Cathy (Mike) Gilbert and Sherry Lemley; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren in addition to cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Virgil was a proud veteran serving in the Army during WWII and as a Marine during the Korean conflict. He was a resident of Hamilton Township for 41 years and a proud member and Deacon of Rohr Road Baptist Church. A special thank you to Odyssey Hospice for the care and attention they gave Virgil and family in our time of need.
Visitation Friday, August 24, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield, OH.
